Iowa's Caitlin Clark Makes NCAA History with 41-Point Triple Double, Sends Hawkeyes to Final Four!

Caitlin Clark led Iowa to their first women's Final Four in 30 years, ending a drought since their last appearance in 1993, by putting up one of the best performances in NCAA tournament history. She racked up 41 points, 12 assists, and 10 rebounds as the second-seeded Hawkeyes defeated fifth-seeded Louisville 97-83 on Sunday. Iowa will face the winner of the Greenville 1 region, where South Carolina plays Maryland on Monday night. Clark's triple-double was the 11th of her career and the 19th in NCAA tournament history, making her the first to record a 30- and 40-point triple-double in March Madness history. Her record-breaking performance included hitting eight of the Hawkeyes’ season-high 16 3-pointers, breaking the previous record of 13 set against Gonzaga in 2011. Hailey Van Lith scored 27 points and Olivia Cochran had 20 points and 14 rebounds to lead Louisville, but Clark's performance was too much for them to handle. Clark's show helped the Hawkeyes secure a place in the Final Four, which she has been dreaming of since childhood.
