LSU Player Angel Reese's "You Can't See Me" Gesture Sparks Social Media Outrage and Unapologetic Response

LSU women's basketball player Angel Reese made waves on social media by imitating John Cena's "You can't see me" motion during a match versus Iowa. Many social media users criticized Reese for her conduct and labeled her "classless."

Reese claimed that the criticism she received was a result of who she is and that she does not fit into the stereotype that society holds for her. She argued that while she had received criticism for being "too hood" and "too ghetto" during the year, nothing was said about other people who behaved in the same way. Reese claimed that her action was intended for girls who resemble her and who are unapologetically authentic.

Caitlin Clark of Iowa, who was the target of the alleged taunt, claimed she was unaware of Reese's actions despite the outcry on social media. Clark said that her team's place in the handshake line was her main concern, and she was grateful for it.

After breaking numerous NCAA Tournament records and enthralling the country with her offensive prowess, Clark has decided to end the 2022–23 season on a high note.

Reese dug back on her gesture and shared a picture of it on social media despite the criticism she received for it from certain people. She is eager to celebrate in the upcoming season since she feels she has contributed to the expansion of women's basketball.
